Scott has served for over 30 years in the non-profit sector prior to taking on the role of CEO at a startup company in 2015.  Most recently Scott served as the Executive VP/COO with Leadership Foundations.  Prior to this he served as the Chief Development Officer for Landesa who works to secure land rights for the world’s poorest people and as Executive VP/COO for International Justice Mission. IJM is a human rights agency that secures justice for victims of slavery, sexual exploitation and other forms of violent oppression.

 

Prior to IJM Scott had a distinguished 21-year career with Young Life, an international Christian youth organization, as an area and regional director. He also was Senior Campaign Director in a $14.3 million capital campaign for Malibu, a Young Life camp property in British Columbia. Before that, Scott was a senior executive with Partners International, linking with skilled indigenous Christian leaders in the world’s least Christian countries.

 

Scott received a B.S. in Education from Western Washington University and has taken post-graduate coursework through Fuller Theological Seminary and the Center on Philanthropy at Indiana University.

 

Scott has served on the board of the YMCA and was a member of Rotary Club International. He has also been involved in HIV support groups and coached high school football for 12 years. Scott and his wife Julie live in Seattle, Washington. They have three adult children and two grandchildren.
