Cassie Wyssbrod serves as Leadership Foundations’ Vice President of Development and works to advance the mission of Leadership Foundations by overseeing fundraising and development activities. Cassie’s career has spanned more than two decades. Early in her career she served on the staff of Congressman Nick Smith, led fundraising efforts for the USO in the wake of Operation Iraqi Freedom, and served as a special programs officer in Onslow County, North Carolina. Cassie was also appointed as a State Commissioner on the Ohio Hispanic Latino/Affairs Commission. She was also a candidate for the Ohio House of Representatives and earned the endorsement of the Cleveland Plain Dealer and the Sun News.
After leaving politics and government, Cassie joined World Vision United States (WVUS). During her more than ten years at WVUS Cassie served as a regional managing director leading a team of fundraisers and raising millions for those on the margins of society. A highlight of her time at World Vision was playing a key role in the 2004 Tsunami response onsite in Banda Aceh, Indonesia. She has worked and traveled in 35 countries. Most recently, Cassie has worked as a fundraising and philanthropy consultant helping nonprofits execute capital campaigns and start and grow their major gifts programs.
Cassie graduated from Calvin College in Grand Rapids, Michigan and recently completed a Master of Arts in Diplomacy at Norwich University in Vermont. She calls the Dallas/Ft. Worth area home, keeping busy with her three children, husband, and beloved Labrador retrievers.Email Cassie
